But we've got to ask ourselves, and especially as we watch the next commitment ceremony where presumably the same thing happens again, should we be applauding Mel and Alessandra or are they actually complicit for choosing him for this show?
Because remember, we're led to believe it's the experts who pick the participants.
So then we have to ask ourselves...
Was this also a ploy not just to rage bait people, but to give the likes of Mel and Alessandra a chance to play the role of the hero and give the show a boost of integrity and moral compass that it often lacks?
While also like furthering their careers as they make this big stand for all women everywhere against the problem that, hey, we're actually forgetting they were part of creating in the first place.
And if so, again, when we watch the next commitment ceremony, if you do start to think of going, oh, well done, Mel.
Well done, Alessandra.
Before you do so, ask yourself, who is all of this at the detriment of?
Because to me, it's every female out there who could one day now have even more chance of finding herself having to deal with a man with these views.
who wants her to be submissive, who will find a way to make her feel smaller and smaller, and who could also one day turn violent because he's so brainwashed by what he's consuming online.
And having that red pill content in his newsfeed, alongside now seeing someone like Tyson on primetime TV, 7.30 each night...
So what's the solution here?
You're probably asking.
Recently, there's been headlines of viewers threatening to boycott the show.
There's been politicians saying Channel 9 must be stopped.
There's been such a heavy backlash, just like there is every year over something.
But as expected, this has only pushed the ratings up, with each episode lately getting up to 3 million viewers each night.
And until that changes, nothing will change on the show.
Actually, that's not true.
Something will change.
