And that's that each year, the show will continue to find new ways to shock us, anger us, and infuriate us by going to even more extremes.
And although that may feel impossible right now, I guarantee that next year,
they will find someone even more polarizing than Tyson, who, as we've watched, he hasn't just proved controversial, but he's now become the poster boy of a movement that is so heavily intertwined with violence against women.
And please know also, I'm not saying Tyson himself is, has ever been, or ever will be violent.
There is zero evidence of that out there.
But the undeniable fact is, so many men around Australia, and the world even, who do share his views...
will become violent, have become violent, and so many female lives have already been taken as a result of this.
So again, what is the solution if we want men like this to stop being platformed to millions of people?
It's simple.
It's to stop watching.
Because when we do that, the ratings drop, the ad revenue drops, and the show has to change.
But the sad reality is, no matter how outraged I personally get, I know I'm going to keep watching because I'm weak and I love and hate this show in equal measures.
And yeah, I don't want to give it up and I don't want to turn it off.
And going off the ratings, it appears that everybody else feels the same.
And it also appears that the Tyson backlash across the news and social media has brought in an even bigger audience to this show, which, to be honest, is quite a scary thought, especially if that new audience is young men.
