Aldous Huxley, we know, was a Janeite.

He worked on the 1940 MGM Pride and Prejudice screenplay.

His father was actually also a Janeite and a critic.

And he has an introduction to a work about Jane Austen in which he says, you know, the issue with men as readers of Austen is that they just can't really get it until they're in their mid-20s.

This gives me hope.

We'll see what I can do with my sons.

Unquestionably.

Just to recap for listeners, it was 18 cities and four countries over four months.

It was an incredible privilege.

Some of the final events in December 2025 were sold out at $3.50 or $6.50.

I mean, there were just people at libraries and community events just coming out for this.

So first of all, what was surprising to me is that this is not ending December 16th, 2025.

That a lot of the Austin energy is unquestionably heading into next year.

So that was a little bit of a surprise to me.

I thought, well, maybe there'll be sort of a lull.

Maybe it'll get quiet.

I don't see it getting quiet.

So I think some of these same conversations, I truly hope and believe they will continue.

For me personally, I'm looking forward to doing a next book that is on the women writers who were not Austin, who were surrounding Austin, and a book on the Gunning sisters, the stunning Gunnings, as I'm calling them, who were scandal women who wrote novels that were ripped from their own scandalous headlines.
