Colin McKenzie is long retired now and in his 80s.
He does art in his spare time and he helps out with his son's choir, the Dawson Chorus.

In an interview Larry gave to RTE in 1986, he gave a good account of what was on his mind when he put up the note.

That desperation led him to write the note and put it up in the mall.
