If I was negotiating on a property and I was making an offer, I would always put my offer in writing.
It takes away any confusion.
But it also shows that you're a serious buyer that knows what they're doing.

If you're using a buyer's agent, the buyer's agent will do a lot of this for you or all of this for you.
However, a lot of first home buyers aren't using a buyer's agent.
They're doing this for themselves.
And a lot of first home buyers, especially when deposit is an issue, they can't use a buyer's agent.
So there is a little bit of research that you can do to get yourself prepared for this negotiation.
So when we talk about
making an offer, it's really important to note people think, oh, I've made an offer and now that's accepted.
They think they've got the property.
And this is a really common misconception.
