It's, you know, pulling the strengths that they have and then try to see how you can work with the strengths that each other has to offer.
So say you both kind of have this idea of, okay, we want to move in like two years or something.
Okay, that might mean the spender has to cut back a little bit, but there's ways that they can maybe help contribute
in a different way to saving for that because they know at some point, okay, we're going to be moving.
We're going to be getting another, like a house.
And it sounds silly, but even like looking forward to making a list of everything I want to buy when we move, you know, but it's kind of like that little like fun list to kind of keep them motivated because the spenders,
I mean, a lot of them, they like the dopamine rush that you get when you purchase something.
And that's also why sometimes I say, wait 24 hours before you buy something.
Think about it first because you don't want to have that buyer's remorse.
But writing it down allows them to kind of feel that rush a little bit or putting it in their Amazon cart or whatever it is.
It gives them that rush.
And then it kind of calms the itch a little bit.
And then they can actually focus on the here and now goal of we are moving soon.
A lot of it goes back to going, pulling out the strings for each other, sitting down, having the conversation.
It's starting small.
Like you're not going to say, okay, you know, like, and I, I personally don't encourage combining finances really until you're married.
There's a lot that can just go South, unfortunately before marriage.
And obviously there are, there are certain instances where if you're married already,
And there are certain things like safety issues or abuse.
Like I would say taking care of yourself financially is first and foremost, the most important thing.
