Um, so there are certain instances that I won't encourage combined finances, obviously within, you know, the wellbeing of someone, but for the general couples, you know, getting married, um, or who've already been married and they're just learning how to have these conversations start small, one thing, um,

track your spending together of like, okay, it sounds silly, but during the day, I went to the grocery store and I spent this on the budget.

Mark it in your phone if you don't budget.

At the end of the day, compare what you each kind of spent or at the end of the week, you know, you keep track every day and it kind of gives you an idea of where the money is going.

And then you're coming together to have the conversations.

So you're very slowly working at changing it from me

versus you to we.

And it's hard because you are your own person for so long.

And when you get married, right, you're joining with someone else.

And it's tough because you feel like you are losing independence in a sense because you're combining with someone.

But when you work together as a team, you are more likely to succeed in your goals and in where you want to go.

And so it's just one little step at a time.

So it's like keep track of how much you buy coffee out each other, you know, or set a joint savings goal.

If you're married, set a joint savings goal.

OK, we want to hit this amount by this day.

Let's make it a game and work together for it.

And the more that they work together, the less finger pointing there's going to be and the more unity there's going to be between them.
