So basically what happened, it's kind of funny, in this area of commercial lending, after the recession, there was a huge revival in loan growth. matched

And it was probably because businesses were borrowing more. matched

They were rebuilding their businesses after such a horrible downturn. matched

But even though it was a time that banks were complaining a lot about regulation and they were also complaining a lot about narrow profit margins because of low rates, it matched

In reality, loan growth was pretty great. matched

And then mysteriously, it just kind of ground to a halt around the 2016 presidential election. matched

And banks are under a lot of pressure to improve it. matched

They're getting questions about this constantly on earnings. matched

And, you know, they've come up with like 10 different reasons why this might be the case. matched

And in order to get loan growth, they are easing terms for businesses. matched

And that's kind of been working and it's been reviving a bit. matched

Basically, what's happened is around 2017, so right around the time that loan growth started slowing, banks started making it easier to get a loan. matched

They started easing terms on the loans to try to attract more growth. matched

And now that that's been going on for about a year or so, this top banking regulator has said, look, we're seeing this happening across the banking industry. matched

It's quite widespread. matched

And we are issuing more private citations for this because we're kind of worried about it. matched

Yeah, exactly. matched

I mean, we have to put everything into perspective. matched

You know, what they're saying is things seem to be pretty conservative still and where we think the banking system is pretty healthy. matched

But at the same time, this is one area that we're seeing banks loosen terms and do some things that we're not that comfortable with. matched
