So earlier on this week, the prosecution arrested after calling around 70 witnesses.
And you'll remember that the prosecution case heavily relies on the allegation that Lindsay was aware of her actions at that time.
That's because the defense centers its argument around the claim that Lindsay was suffering from severe postpartum mental illness, including postpartum psychosis.
And so she was not in control of her actions when she killed the children.
In their view, this means that she is not criminally responsible and therefore not guilty by reason of insanity.
So the defense case is ongoing and we're expecting his last witness to be called tomorrow.
So far shorter case than the state's case.
And this week, interestingly, the defense called both Patrick and Lindsay's mothers.
So that is both grandmothers of the children.
Lindsay's mother, Paula Musgrove, was the first to take the stand out of the two grandmothers.
Early on in her testimony, the defense attorney, Kevin Reddington, asked her to describe how Lindsay was as a mother.
Yeah, so we've heard from several people now that, you know, that was the kind of moment that she began becoming more anxious was the time when she would be expected to go back to work or would be preparing to go back to work.
and that's something that you know she struggled with with both of her older children as well but obviously in this case it became much more severe
