So Paula's testimony really painted a picture of Lindsay's spiraling mental health in those months leading up to the killings and how much the family was concerned about her.
And this also built up to a really harrowing piece of testimony from Paula about a specific moment and a specific conversation that Lindsay had with her and with Patrick in December.
Yeah, so Patrick's family and Patrick himself haven't attended any of the trials.
So the only time we've seen Patrick, the only time we've seen any of his family is when they've been called to testify.
So we heard from Patrick earlier in the state's case and also his father, Chris.
And Sue has never been there.
So Sue can't see Patrick's mother.
She has never attended any of the trials.
So she turned up to give her testimony.
And as you say, she said she only had glowing things to say about her former daughter-in-law.
She said she was a wonderful mother when she was asked about Lindsay's approach towards Dawson.
She instantly brushed off the idea that she cared about Dawson less, which is something that the state has tried to hint at.
And, you know, she was clearly appalled by that idea.
It's very interesting because, you know, obviously we know that the family dynamics broke down.
The two sides of the family are obviously no longer together.

Until that day that he testified in the courtroom, that was the first time we'd seen her since these killings happened.
So it's not clear whether Sue has had any interaction with her daughter-in-law since that night as well.
But inside the courtroom, it was clear that it was, you know, a difficult thing for her and Lindsay.
And, you know, Lindsay was watching her, but also, you know, becoming quite emotional.
