For the first few months, it seems that she was doing okay mentally, but it was around the time that she was going back to work as a delivery nurse.
That she began experiencing more and more anxiety, more and more, you know, ultimately depression.
And that is when her mental health.
Seems to have really started to deteriorate.
And that was in around the fall of 2022.
Yeah, so the main thing that she was seeking help for was postpartum depression, postpartum anxiety.
But obviously the defense is arguing that she also was suffering from postpartum psychosis at the time of the killings.
And the mental health treatment that Lindsay received and her actual mental state at the time of the killings and in the months leading up to the killings is the very heart of this case.
This is a woman who, you know, to everyone seemed, you know, this loving mother.
This daughter mother
someone who, you know, really cared about her children.
And then obviously this awful thing happened and the children
were killed.
So the very heart of this case is all about Lindsay Concy's mental health and whether she was in
a competent state to understand and stop herself from harming the children on that day.
So we hear we're hearing a lot from the mental health experts, from psychiatrists, from doctors who treated her in the months leading up to the killings, as well as people who saw her afterwards.
also hearing a lot from friends, family, relatives about her state of mind and how she seemed in those months leading up to the killings as well.
And, you know, while the d state argues that she was aware of what she was doing
And you know, planned these cullings.
The defense is arguing that she was in a state of psychosis in that moment, and that she'd also suffered severe, severe postpartum depression.
