You know, I spoke to one woman, a mom of six, who says that her grocery bills for the month have eclipsed her monthly mortgage payment, which is about $1,500.

So, you know, when you're spending more on food than on the roof over your head, it becomes really difficult.

She says that cooking with her husband is one of her biggest hobbies, but now they've been trying a lot fewer new dishes.

You know, on top of not being able to take vacations, not eating out, we're talking about the price of cooking a meal, which is supposed to be the affordable way to eat for many families.

That's just not the case.

So it's absolutely a culture shock.

And I think for many families having to say no when their eight-year-old asks for a Lunchable or for Little Bites is really, really difficult.

Who wants to say no to that?

These aren't families that, you know, are going on luxury vacations every year.

You know, quote unquote luxuries are being able to afford the snacks that their kids want and so no longer being able to do that.

You know, as Jamaica told me, she was like, why is it so hard to just to live without just going through the motions of living?

So you really have to stop and think when it's this difficult for people to, you know, just buy the snack food that their kids are asking for.
