Oh, it was like three ice.
Three ice, yeah.
Okay, so now that's on a hyperbolic orbit.
A hyperbolic is an open geometry, so it's going to come in.
It's going to make its perihelion passage around the sun.
It's going to head out.
It'll never come back again.
but a periodic comet comes back and it's on an elliptical orbit and the ellipse is closed, right?
The torrid stream has between like three and five year period that it's moving around.
There's several comets.
Comet Anki is part of that system and it has a 3.3 year return cycle.
So it's theorized, and I think it's a credible theory that once upon a time in the past, the torrid stream was orders of magnitude more prominent than it is now.
The density of the material in it was greater.
So the probability of the earth having an encounter as it crossed the stream would have been greater, right?
So here's, I think, how you could introduce the idea of periodicity into this equation.
There's, of course, a lot more to it than that, and I have graphics and everything.
So you'd better get me back on here, and we'll look at some more graphics at some point.
Well, in order to see it, we'd have to be looking exactly at the right spot in space at the exactly the right time.
Um,
I have not made an in-depth study of that possibility.
