And this is a guy that, you know, has had a procedure

of course in the offseason, you want to make sure that you're able to come back strong.

And that's why you have a a player like Kevin Lankin and ready to go in terms of you know having a a potential you know one B starter in the league uh ready to hit the ground running.

So with Thatcher Demko, unfortunately for Thatcher, it's a big question mark and it'll uh be a big question mark until he hits the ice.

But for Vancouver they feel comfortable that they have Kevin Lankin and at least

start off the season, but with Kevin, you know, he's not a goalie that can play sixty games.

There's very few of those guys in the NHL these days anyways.

So you're gonna need that second goalie, whether that's Safiordanko or tonight's starter, Nikita Tolapilo.

Uh I think so with Brendan, you know, even without a game being played, just being around the team at camp, being in the locker room here at Rogers Arena as well, uh, there's a an element of, you know, we know first and foremost the compete level uh of Brendan Gallagher, even when he wasn't playing in Montreal in the playoffs, there's a smile on his face.

There's an element of, Hey, I'm the ultimate team guy.

And I think with Brendan also, like this guy is you know, he's charged up.

We saw even in the limited sample size uh that he had for Montreal in the playoffs, like he can make a difference.

So I think he's gonna be extremely motivated.

Uh the guys love him in the room already.

The fact that they don't have to play against him anymore because he's on their team is certainly a a bonus as well.

And when you're trying to teach a young team of where you score goals in the NHL, how you get to the middle of the ice, in my opinion, there's nobody better than having Brendan Gallagher on your team.

team uh to also to build that team spirit of standing up for each other.

So you know with Brendan, it's one thing you want to kind of reset your worth in the NHL, but he hasn't been shy about it.

He said he I I want to get an another contract uh in the NHL.

So he's hungry.
