And I think you thread the needle pretty well tonight.
Well, Don, I want to hear a lot because I know you've posted about this, like you've talked to even groups that Democrats should be overperforming and still finding pockets of folks who are really unsatisfied with the presidency.
But I think like when it comes to where we've been and where we are today.
Obviously, the level of enthusiasm is as high as it's been in a long, long time.
I think the risk of tonight, given that the program was going overtime, was that if Biden underperformed tonight, people who are loyal to Biden would have blamed the Harris camp.
And I think the tinfoil hats would have come out from people saying that this was deliberate, that they let it run late so that they pushed him out of primetime.
You were starting to see that narrative bubble up.
I think given the fact that the president performed so well,
you're not going to hear a lot about that, you know, because he seemed like, you know, grateful for the experience.
He seemed so positive.
He performed really well.
So I think the conspiracies will be put to rest.
And I think the enthusiasm continues.
And I think if you put up the slate for the rest of the week, you know, knock on wood, you've got some of the heaviest of heavy hitters coming up over the next few days.
And so I'm pretty optimistic that this will be a pretty strong convention.
Yeah, but I agree with, I think, Whitney, you were saying that, you know, historically, the bounce isn't durable.
There are exceptions, I think, like 88, where they savaged Dukakis at that convention.
And I think that was like the birth of modern campaigns as we know it.
And, you know, George W. Bush, I think, did a pretty effective job mimicking that when they savaged Kerry.
I think in both of those cases, the damage was pretty durable.
