And he shoots all of them too.

Next, Martin gets to the site's toll booth, and he sees a BMW there, and he shoots the four people inside, and he steals the BMW.

Now, while all this is happening, a local journalist hears about the shootings, and she goes to the scene to report about what's going on.

While she's there, she starts calling around to places to see if she can get information about what's been going on, and she just happens to call Seascape Cottage, because it's so close to the scene of the shootings.

And she's like expecting the owners or the staff to pick up.

But apparently the only ones there are Martin and his hostage.

So he picks up.

And on the phone, he's like all laughing and he's talking crazy.

And he tells her that if she calls the police that he'll kill the hostages he has.

But, you know, he only has the one hostage.

But then Martin hangs up on her and she's obviously freaked out and she immediately calls the police and tells them what just happened and that the shooter is at Seascape Cottage.

So the police race out to Seascape Cottage and they surround the place.

And Martin, he doesn't want to come out.

And they don't want to go in because, you know, he might hurt the hostage.

So they are now officially in a standoff.

And this standoff goes on for hours.

And police, they start calling the Seascape Cottage number, hoping that he answers the phone.

And he does.

And they try and negotiate with him, but Martin isn't really making a lot of sense on the phone.

Like, he's being erratic.
