Genevieve's a fun one to watch because it's not headed anywhere near anyone.
And so these are our favorite kind of systems.
They're pulling up that cooler water and cooling the sea surface temperatures down.
They're using some of that energy that's in the Pacific right now.
And any energy that gets used up can't go to another system.
So love that.
And so currently a category three, it's moving to the West Northwest at nine miles per hour.
The maximum sustained winds currently are at 125 miles an hour.
You can see its proximity to the Western Mexico coastline right there.
It is to the south of Cabos, but still probably making for some rough surf out there and choppiness, but it is moving away and it's weakening as it does so.
And so you can see that track brings it down to a tropical storm over the weekend.
and then basically makes it an open tropical wave out there.
The European showing that, how it really starts to weaken.
You see a little bit of drier air getting into it from the north there, and then just barely holding on, and just a shadow of its former self when you were looking at it in those higher categories, especially yesterday when it peaked in its strength.
And now we're hopping way over to the western Pacific.
This is very strong typhoon Dolphin.
