I think like in retrospective speaking, I'm thinking about Kylie like opening up about her usage of fillers and stuff in the past and just kind of like the doctoring of your body and kind of putting that appearance forth when you want to.
And then now she's kind of stepping away from it in recent years.

In what ways have you found that celebrity wellness brands circumvent this gap in trust?
No.
Well, I mean the internet has created a lot of opportunities for parasociality where there is both that distance because their persona online is so contrived.
And yet, what they are feeding you oftentimes is day-in-the-life vlogs and content that is curated to look very hyper-personal.
Because that that is our behavior online as digital natives.
We treat the digital space as a very hyper-personal space.
It's where we feel comfortable.
And I think that by both holding themselves as something that's like unattainable to us, but also they're our friends and they're just in our social space and they're right where we are.
R it's a really, really tricky space for marketing and advertising as a whole.
it's about saying,
I do vaguely, yes.
I'm just like you, I'm still available to you to project all of your hopes and desires onto and to give me money and in this case in the Cult of the Celebrity Wellness brand, not even so that way you make any kind of significant lifestyle change or attain any kind of thing that I have, but so you can put my lip gloss in your phone case and use it as an advertisement for my brand.
