And learning, like, oh, it's not just when I'm happy that I'm holy, or it's not just when things are going well that I'm in a flow state.
It's actually when I fall to my knees, when I break, when I lose everything, when the darkness is insurmountable, when I can't set one foot in front of the other.
that there is not just access, but almost the most sacred time of being a human.
And we don't get training around that.
We think that if we lose our job, or if a beloved dies, that we can't go on, that our life will never be valuable again.
And what I began to learn and what my new book is about is that it's a practice of learning how to hit your knees, to kneel before whatever is happening with reverence and gratitude and erotic aliveness.
