It was just, you know, if you miss the hole, you're going to go five feet box.
It is scary how quickly that course turned from Thursday to Saturday.
I mean, Thursday, Friday, the course is just beautiful and
And then we woke up on Saturday morning and it was bone dry and white.
It was just amazing how they managed to dry that course out in 12 hours.
Yeah, the New York crowd is quite a vocal one.
And Phil Mickelson is one of their favorites.
So for me, the one thing that really stood out for me was my focusing.
I managed to block all of that out.
a few times my caddy was saying you know did you what that guy just said the comp or i can't believe what that guy just said and i said what you know i didn't even hear it you know i was just so so in the zone and just focused on everything that's ahead of me and i didn't really even
notice what was going on behind the ropes.
And that's probably the thing that's most important in majors is, and even playing with the top players, is to somehow block out what's going on behind the ropes and just play your game.
uh you know he played you know i think it would have been quite a bit different if i played with him um he was in front of media uh so most of it most of the crowds were walking with him um not that there was nobody with us but i think most of the noise was ahead um like i say a few times
It was a blout and people trying to get your focusing away and hopefully that you make a mistake.
For me, luckily, I managed to just keep making those up and downs and making those putts.
But yeah, that's the one thing I definitely remember the best was blocking out what was going on.
Well, yeah.
I mean, you're obviously still nervous.
It doesn't matter who you play with.
It's just part of the game.
