I don't know about that. I don't know if it's consistent, but there have been a couple of incidences where commencement speakers have brought up AI and the crowd boos. And somebody's saying, why is that happening? And somebody, whether this is accurate or not, I thought it was well stated, they said, because graduates right now feel like they were sold a bill of goods.
They went to school, they studied, they learned, they picked a major, and now they're being shot out into a workforce that is telling them, none of the jobs you're interested in are available to you now. We can do it at the click of a button. It's a little bit, I mean, it's a weird time to be doing anything. I mean, you and I often, what's the right term for it? We...
commiserate on the absence of in-room casting. On the death of it. Yeah. That guys like us, part of our career was built on walking in the room and being a guy who could improv and be alive in the space. And we've taken a hit because of it. Of course. And getting to know us...
But the Robin Rich who were 25 never launch. You know what I mean? Like you take us right now and put us starting. I think part of, I mean, you have to, you can't do it that way anymore is my point. That skill set doesn't help you.
What I'm saying is I think me and my friend group in our 20s would have benefited from Instagram and TikTok. Yeah, okay. I guess my statement is if you didn't pivot to the modern era, if you approached it like Robin Rich approached it when he arrived, that would not work.
Yeah, she's just like, I don't have to do that. Anyone who's looking for work. I got to go on the side of Rob Benedict doing this. I think Audrey's missing a trick because when you walk in, first of all, your daughter presents so well. She's such a well-spoken, cool chick. That goes a long way if you're running a business. You're like, I don't know who this email person is. Walk in and say hi. Again, I understand I'm the wrong demo, but you know what? A lot of people are my age who are running these stores, who are investing in these places, who are managing in them.
yeah great and there's all these restaurants all the way down and i literally walked for about a mile and a half just like going into every restaurant and getting my resume uh and i didn't get i got a call back at one i got i remember applying for a job at california pizza kitchen studio city which i really wanted to work i i lived in studio city right after college i thought california pizza kitchen was such a cool restaurant when i was a young man i was like i want to work there
So I went in there with my roommate at the time. We both applied to be a host. It was a filled out application. I did not get a call back. He did. But he was like, I'm moving to Oregon, so I'm not going. So I'm like, okay. So I showed up for the call back. And there was like 10 of us. And we're all doing something. And they came back out and they go, hey, Richard, did we?
