So they're quite open to it.
But I think in the much older age group, so I think about my own father, who I would say is probably ADHD from a lot of the characteristics that he has, and probably an element of autism in there as well, because he tells some quite prolific stories, and I'm fairly confident that he's not going to be watching this.
He probably can't spell YouTube, never mind.
Watch it.
But if you went to him and said,
your ADHD, we've done some assessments, we've watched you, even if we gave absolute categorical evidence, I know it's not available now, but if you said you've got this much usable dopamine in your synapses, you know, to that level, if we were able to say that to him, he would still be in huge denial.
He would say, that's not me.
ADHD is a new thing.
I've not, you know, I wasn't born in the 70s.
I was born in the 40s and, you know, say he's 82 now.
So he would be in huge denial.
But I think that denial is probably keeping the actual openness of that thought internalized.

He's retired many years ago.
So he's not thinking about that.
He lives on his own.
His partner died a few years ago.
um and so it's him internalizing and ruminating you know he was brought up in a in a generation that didn't talk about feelings and mental health and emotion his dad was you know born just at the start of the 1900s so you know he was very much in that staunch kind of stoic way um way of life and um i think his grief would be
The life that he lost and also his inability to be able to communicate that because that would be a whole new skill that you'd have to learn.
