So if we put it in the system, not in the PowerPoint, it becomes operational data.
And the CIO, we we actually tackled the aviation in uh team first.
So the aviation team, we re- we did their implementation, different to not having to struggle with the maritime system, did it in a way that fitted their business needs, removed redundant fields and things they didn't need, kept the user interface light, moved onto latest UI.
And the other business units were like from going from uh I I don't want this, I want the same as today, seeing that better way of working.
Was like, when can I have that?
And that moved user adoption from 52% to like 94%.
uh because people saw the that if I do this, if we all do this, we save ourselves more work.
And I think that was probably one of the most successful projects I'd worked on, um, not through an SI as an independent contractor.
I found that hugely a huge accolade at the end of it.
Yeah, um it's an interesting area and having worked at all three, um there are definitely some contrasting styles, if you like.
So if we think about system integrator, system integrator make money from either selling a managed service, a contract per year to run something for someone, or by providing people on a short or longer term basis.
And as a result of that, the success is measured not just by revenue, but by utilization as well.
The plus side is you tend to then get employed in multiple industries.
So you learn different industries.
You're not really pre-selected saying, oh, you can only do retail, you can only do manufacturing, you can only do financial services.
You tend to get exposed to a lot of different projects, both in a pre-sales capacity and in a project delivery.
ISVs on the other hand are solving uh a few problems and they're solving that well.
So again, the SIs typically in a broader SI, you'd work in different technologies.
ISVs are generally on a static technology stack.
So on a single platform, maybe changing every few years.
