They're very good daddies.
They help out in every way.
They're not very good husbands because they're only seasonally monogamous.
They come back.
most often to the same wife but as often as not they go somewhere else which is rather odd because they reuse the nest holes every year and I would have thought the property would draw them back to the spouse but maybe it doesn't.
They've done very well.
It's an eruption.
They erupt, which is very interesting.
This is a very sedentary bird.
It doesn't move usually.
But every so often, they all get together, a crowd of them, and they all fly en masse somewhere else.
And that happened in 2006.
A huge flood of them came in for some reason.
Now, eruptions are interesting because some of them are just holiday type eruptions.
Like you take the waxwing, comes here in an eruption, but he goes back home to breed.
