When they feel, okay, look, my boundaries are not being respected here or whatever.
I'm just withdrawing out of this situation.
And often they can be shooting themselves in the foot.

Yeah, but I think I think a lot of people do find it difficult to set boundaries with their adult parents because they're maybe often like.
Adult parents can be minded not to take the hint, like, and they'll just barge in and they'll go, look, you know, I wiped your arse, don't talk back to me.
But calm, clear communication, cold cognition, as you'd call it.

Clear communication could probably save a lot.
It's the key thing.
I think some people think that if they're too firm with their boundaries, that it can be viewed as a selfish thing and it can be viewed as maybe a bit aloof or something like that.
Because if I'm late, it's chaos.
OK, so how do you teach kids?
Boundaries, like A, to have their own boundaries and B, to respect other people's boundaries.
Nor should she.
So not the nuclear option.
