Thank you so much.
It's really, it's so interesting, you know, kind of quoting those bits from the poems because I have a kind of really interesting reaction to that, which is kind of like, it's almost, feels kind of therapeutic in a way.
Like in, you know, sometimes in a therapy session, therapists will use a word that you've used and they'll kind of quote it back to you and it can be quite impactful.
And just hearing you quote those various bits from the poem is sort of,
It makes me think and sets me up spinning.
And yeah, it's really lovely that you do that.
It's very generous.
And yeah, I think you're right.
I definitely tried to be extreme and allow the poem to... Well, I didn't set out to be extreme, but I tried to record my reactions.
So the work of the first draft was certainly to record all the different thoughts, all the different arguments, all the different reactions.
And then in the editing process, I would have kept them in if they kind of made sense to the poem.
And I definitely feel like the poem is very robust.
It can sustain numerous different viewpoints, like you were saying.
And a very important one, you quoted a really important one to me, the life of the victim is still a creative one.
And that's...
an amazing piece of um wisdom or guidance um that I got from a very dear friend of mine the poet Daljit Nagra said to me the life of the victim is still a creative one it appears in one of the poems because um
you know, it kind of allows for that kind of movement that we were talking about, you know, kind of breaking the kind of varnished stuckness of the still life painting, actually thinking about paying attention, thinking about creativity, thinking about curiosity, you know.
And I really believe, you know, that
making anything creatively is a really important and beneficial and nourishing act.
And I really believe that no matter what has happened to us, whatever hurt has befallen us, we still have the opportunity to be creative in whatever capacity.
