Oh, for sure.
When there's like a close knit team.
I don't know.
I don't know.
What do you think?
Yeah.
One of my first jobs was like that, where I was the younger person.
And most folks were like in their 40s and 50s.
They'd been with the company for years.
And it took a while before I really adjusted.
And it took like another person my age joining.
But, you know, eventually I did have to reframe how I thought about work.
my coworkers and my relationships with them, I was like, okay, I'm not going to be like best friends with these people necessarily, but there are things I can learn from them.
And so I started to like, there was one person in particular who I would just pepper her with questions all the time and would eventually like pull up my chair and ask her to like, if I was like, can I just shadow you as you're doing this thing?
And then naturally, obviously when you're doing that kind of, when you're working closely with someone like that,
They start talking about their personal life or other things start to come up and then you form connections and then you have things to follow up on.
So I do think it can happen organically in that way if you approach it as like, hey, how can I learn from you?
In my mind, if I was the older person in that situation, I'd be like, this cool young person has better things to do than want to be my friend.
I feel like that right now.
I'm like, this 20-year-old doesn't want to be friends with me.
