And so if life is a reasonable risk to impose, then the fact that the child didn't consent does not make it a consent rights violation because children don't have consent rights.

And so that's why I think that the lines of argument

Toward saying that procreation is always wrong, I don't think they succeed, although I'm not entirely satisfied with just saying, okay, we can, you know, sort of move on happily, because I think there's still sort of a niggling worry 'cause, you know, your kid could be the miserable one and maybe life really is terrible.

Um, so that's sort of the best I can do with these worries.

I don't think the argument succeeds, but succeed.

And I find flaws in them that I don't think can be overcome, but they kinda sort of niggle at me anyway.

So I think that the reason we pr we

might engage or want to engage in procreative acts.

Is the same reason we engage in other uh

activities and impose risk upon other people because it's good for us.

We want to.

We want to drive a car, we want to have children, we want to be engaged in the parent child relationship as a parent.

Um and that's unique and this is the only way, you know, not the only way to do it.

You can adopt you can adopt a child, but that's not always feasible and you lose out the biological connection, which I don't think is negligible.
