You know, or certainly not gonna be perfect.
And so you have this inherent conflict between parental in procreative interests and um what I call um procreative goods, a child's um
Uh interest.
in what would be good for us.
And so if we think about the rules, the unveil of ignorance where you we we we think, okay, what kind of ru if we didn't know just if we didn't know what who who we were gonna be, what kind of rules would we pick to govern this behavior?
Um
And so we're thinking about what are
what what's good for us?
Well, we wanna have, you know, uh our biological and psychological needs met.
We wanna be well nourished, we wanna be well educated, socially connected, have self respect, not be oppressed.
Um and then, you know, it would be optimal to have optimal
You know, uh
shares of these goods.
So to be optimally nourished and optimal health, optimally educated according to your abilities and your interests, optimally socially connected, you know, high self respect, high self esteem, politically and personally free fr from oppression.
And those are the things that we want that we would want to, you know, from behind a veil of ignorance if we're going to
talk about what kind of principles should govern procreation.
Um and one way in which I depart a little bit from Raw is that uh I don't think about it as an behind the veil of ignorance I don't say assume you could be either a parent or a child, because that kind of tips the balance in favor of parents and

Everybody uh
Everybody eventually becomes a parent, not everybody has a child.
