You were never as important.
Uh you can't be.
That's just how it is.
Uh the your mother might love you more, but you're not gonna play that same as important um a role.

Uh and one of the things that you mentioned uh in terms of disability, you know, when I was uh researching for this book, I did a lot of research on disability and what it is and how it plays out and is it social and is it natural and there was a lot, you know, some of I read some things that were very interesting, some things that were really compelling, some things less compelling.
But what I came up with at the end of it is that, you know, there's just
There's a natural component to disability and there may also be a social component.
And it's just pointless to try to separate that out.
It's like the nature nurtured debate.
And so
And it and it really doesn't necessarily matter to the person who's going to have a disability.
The so w one of the advantages I think of the approach I take to procreative ethics is to just look at the procreative burden.
What is it gonna be like to have this?

What's it going to be like to be deaf?
What's it going to be like to have a chondriplasure?
What's it going to be like to be discriminated against?
Let's just look at it.
Um and then we don't have to decide how much of it is natural, how much of it is social, because we can't really figure it out.
