Let's just reduce them to two.
There are no simulations or there's a billion simulations, right?
If you get to that point, you're going to make a lot of simulations.
If you never get to that point, fine, you don't build any simulations at all.
But basically, so you might think the odds are 50%.
There's two options.
But if we show that it's possible to get there ourselves, then it's very likely in a physical world that is older than ours, a million years older than ours, that someone has already gotten there.
So it increases the chances dramatically to like 99%.
I think that we're
inside some kind of a simulation.
It's at least 50.
I put it at about 70 now because we're at about 70% of the way to get to that point as well.
So I'm sort of reducing the probability.
Once that gets to 100% that we can get there, then it's pretty close to 100 that we're already inside a simulation.
Could be from the future, like you said.
And perhaps there's more than one timeline
I mean, perhaps this is being run to see if we destroy ourselves and then we're going to go back and rerun it again.
And those people would have deja vu and say, hey, didn't we have this podcast before?
Dan, you and I spoken already?
