There are people that don't even realise they are um potentially being racist in in what they say, how they act towards people or whatever it is.
That that coaching checklist I think is a really valuable tool for people to go through because it's not until you you go through it you realise, yeah, there might be some biases that I'm not actually aware of.
in in how I coach or how I talk to people or those sorts of things.
So I think that's a great tool uh in there for coaches to use.
Yeah, I mean the example I gave before, uh that player was a shell of themselves for probably a good week and a half to two weeks, I feel like, at that point, and we tried to deal with them the t at the time and and try and get the best possible outcome.
But why would anybody just instantly be okay uh for that type of a situation?
So
I think that's a an important part of it as well, the the ongoing
I don't wanna say trauma, but it's probably I don't have a n better word for it at this stage.
Like that ongoing it's always gonna play in people's heads in some capacity when you play that team again.
What does the week look like leading up to that team again?
Is this gonna be another problem?
Is there gonna be reprocite?
Those sorts of things just start to play on your mind.
And it's just the weight that you don't really consider at the end of the time.
Yeah, and that power dynamic I suppose that coaches do have over their team.
I it's probably
not recognised enough by coaches in that they are seen as a fairly central figure in a lot of players' lives.
Whether they're aware of it or not doesn't really matter because they are.
