You are there to test every fiber of your body.

You are.

And you're there to say, okay, everything that I've been in the past, could I be there in the present and perform?

And can I in the future, can I go serve with one of the greatest units in history?

And I think that so like you're taking everything in time and space and you're putting yourself to the ultimate test to say, can I do it?

And you have this long brotherhood in front of you that if you're lucky, you get to stand amongst the ranks.

Yes.

I mean, yes, understanding time, but seeing everybody else's energy around you, it just wants you to keep pushing and pushing and pushing.

And then being an officer in the mix of that is like, okay, I have to step up for these people.

I have to earn trust.

I have to show them just this –

ruthlessness, this grit, this resiliency, if they're going to follow me.

Yes, sir.

It's shared suffering.

It's simple as that, right?

It is shared suffering.

It is taking those experiences and looking around you and codifying it or the cohesiveness of the team and taking that.

And just as in the military, doing that and leaving that impact and holding those standards at your lowest moments where you're just defeated.

Again, back to every human behavior, just stripped and defeated.

and taking that into business and realizing that all these things moving around you and all this white noise, that if I just stay grounded in the moment,
