for us for the forecast for the year, um, look um, you know, incre increasingly good and and exceedingly good.
You know, d for twenty sixteen we're expecting the sixth consecutive year that franchising uh uh as as a business model is going to be outperforming other business models
uh within the in the US, uh particularly in the same industry sectors uh that that it works and
Um we have uh you know such
uh exciting numbers.
Uh you know, uh we're gonna see about a uh three point one percent uh growth in jobs in twenty sixteen.
We're gonna that that equates to about two hundred and seventy eight thousand uh additional jobs.
Many of those going to be uh available to uh the young men and women that are uh you know coming out of the military
as the forces are drawing down.
Uh we're uh the the total of direct employment in franchising is a startling nine point one million uh jobs in the United States and and uh in a place and time where uh jobs and uh jobs that uh teach basic skills in particular uh are uh at a uh premium, uh you know, we're we're continuing to produce them.
Yeah, and continu continuing to sort of
uh offer that uh that first rung on the ladder for people who either are coming out of directly out of school or coming out of uh uh assignments like the military, uh where they're looking to uh learn trade.
and customer service and some of the important skills that, you know, uh thread the needle for them so that they can sew for the rest of their career.
Um
You know, uh i in this economic recovery, uh the franchising s sector has added almost a million jobs in the last five years alone.
Um and the fr number of franchise uh establishments that we have uh are gonna grow by more than thirteen thousand in twenty sixteen and that's gonna bring the total to just under eight hundred thousand franchise establishments in the United States.
A big huge number.
Uh so uh growth in GDP, um another five hundred and uh uh fifty two billion dollars, uh which uh which adds uh about three percent to the gross domestic product of the United States.
