There's no one in in in history, no one ever has met and known 14 presidents.

I for another book I interviewed um President George Bush Jr.

Uh and I said, Can you think of anyone who's ever met fourteen presidents? 'Cause you were one and so was your dad.

And he went

So no, I sort of met Henry Kissinger might have met a dozen, max, maybe ten.

Um but the Queen had that that depth of of familiarity, and so does the king.

I mean the king, our present king,

First went to the White House in nineteen seventy as a student and had a ninety minute tutorial in the Oval Office with uh with with Richard Nixon, who was president of the time and has met and known every president since.

So you get that you get that degree of connection with all these governments and countries and personalities around the world.

And it it it's it's it's extraordinary.

I mean, a a a visit, a meeting with Elizabeth II was a kind of bucket list

uh top ten for every world leader, really, during their time in office.

And that's why Donald Trump was very happy to uh to sit down and and and talk about it.

And

Yeah, it does.

Obviously there's executive power, and no monarch's gonna sort of tread on that.

I mean, you know, it's s it's often said that uh uh that the monarch would have to sign his or her own death warrant if if parliament decided it, and and they are obliged to uh follow formally the advice of the Prime Minister.

If the Prime Minister gives the monarch said something on advice, it's like a it's effectively in order.

They are a public servant, but at the same time.

While they might not have executive power, they unquestionably have influence and they can sort of steer the direction of things.
