But in every jurisdiction that I'm aware of, you don't file a lawsuit and then a week later you get a trial.
You got
You gotta serve the defendant or defendants.
You gotta do discovery, you know, which are the who, what, when, where, why of the case.
Uh, you gotta take depositions of everyone involved, whether it's a witness, whether it's a party, whether it's an expert witness.
Um, at some point, the judge may order you to mediation, you know, which is like a brokered negotiation.
Of course.
And then um
At any point there, a defense lawyer may come to their senses or maybe my client comes to their senses, right?
Because I filed lawsuits because the client the I think their expectations are a little ambitious, I'll say.
Yeah.
Um, but it may come a point where either the insurance company or the client says, All right, uh, let's what's it gonna take to get this resolved?
Right.
And then what's the
I think I there's certain insurance companies, progressive, uh, that won't make you a real offer until you file the lawsuit.
