I know that on the big league team, they have four shortstops on the field or did before Jacob Gonzalez got traded.

They value athletes, and I believe that shortstops are some of the most athletic guys out there.

So I just feel like I can really try and play wherever is fit, wherever the team needs me.

No, I personally don't.

You know, everyone's path is different.

You know, whatever the organization believes is best for me, you know, I trust in.

You know, I do just, you know, really want to get back to the swing of things with baseball.

You know, professional baseball is a whole different beast than, you know, college and high school.

So, you know, learning a new game and adjusting to it is something that, you know, I'm looking forward to.

But, you know, however fast they feel like I'm ready to move up is, you know, I trust in and, you know, I'm just going to take my time to get there because I want to play there for a long time.

Yeah, I grew up as more of a players guy as opposed to teams.

I never really claimed the team.

The closest thing to me claiming a team was probably the Yankees, just because I was such a big Jeter fan.

But I grew up a huge Brennan Crawford fan, huge Buster Posey fan.

let's come guard like bum gardener all those guys you know i was a big fan of watching so you know i did pay attention to the giants a lot growing up but you know i was always a players guy over teams um you know i know that you know as a college guy going into the draft you know it's not free agency and i don't know get really get a choice where i end up uh that you know the teams really get to decide that um so you know i didn't really take any of that into the draft with me um i was kind of just happy to go wherever you know i ended up um but you know in the end i'm happy to be here in chicago

Yeah, I grew up around scouts.

My dad's best friends either played with him in college, high school, or they are scouts.

So I grew up around people who love the game.

And then going to UCLA where the coaching staff has a really big love for the game.

I've always just been around people that love baseball, and I like to surround myself with those people.
