Um well wages measures slowed from three point seven to three percent.
Yeah.
So from that perspective it's like it's like a goldilogs outcome.
It's perfect.
You know, more people
But there's no evidence of of wage pressures.
Um so we still think that and and also worth emphasizing that uh Canada um also has inflation at one point nine when you look at the averages of those two preferred measures uh that the bank has.
Okay.
So for now it's like this is great.
So um if you if you had to sort of say, well maybe there's a little bit of a bias there for uh
uh or a risk that the the the central bank may have to hike by the end of the year, but right now
I would say that that's one of the banks that has least of a concern or in terms of inflation and and if anyone was going to stand still for the rest of the year, that's probably the Bank of Canada.
But I mean it would be it's it's a number to watch though, isn't it? 'Cause if if there's number one.
Definitely, definitely.
But I mean for now, I mean wages growth are going the the opposite direction.
They're coming down.
Um and uh and the labour market data can be volatile as well, um just like in Australia.
So you need to
look at the trend look to see what's what what it looks like over sort of six months in terms of job creation.
Yeah, and and it to some extent that third option appears to be the case.
