Um but otherwise going through squats, the only thing that like really surprised me was was Etienne missing his opener.

Um obviously, you know, came back, put another ten kilos on it for a second attempt, but um not n not the day that the um

Uh basically I thought look look if Etienne wants to be on the on the podium, um, if he wants uh a crack at being invited back to Sheffield, he really does need to get, you know, not not necessarily his originally planned third, but he needs to get a good squat up and if he repeats three thirty two, what do you take on your third then?
Um jump to
362 and now that's a really big swing on on a single lift.
Um so I think going up I I s I didn't talk to him about it, but I suspect that was about half of what the originally planned a jump was um was probably a good compromise there where he could t still use it as a bit of a rangefinder for where his top end was on the day, um, but without then having to take a huge jump towards his third.
Carlina I think was in a slightly different situation and that there was really maybe three people in that battle as opposed to the one twenties where the, you know, fight for second realistically was probably about five people.
Um and so uh with all of the um with everyone vying for that, you know, uh I I I think it becomes a little bit more critical that you do make more of those attempts and you get closer to that top end.
Whereas I think when you've only got
maybe maybe two other people that you really need to be keeping a close eye on.
Um, you're a little bit safer in that respect.
Hopefully.
Um when you're an episode you're you're you're hoping that people are gonna miss.
Yeah, um I wasn't paying a huge amount of attention to Lucas because he was sort of um, you know, lifting immediately before um uh Joseph and and so, you know, I was g pay paying attention to the lifter I was I was coaching.
Um, but I could visibly see the Canadian coaches like aging with like every decision that was being made.
