So I was grabbing stories from a newscast and putting on the wire.

I was grabbing stories from the Clarion Ledger or other publications, whether in print or online, and I was reforming them, reshaping them, and putting them on the wire.

And then I would do, you know, a little bit of original reporting, and I would do some sports.

But again, it was...

really a lot of like lessons learned about how to write news stories first of all um and just um how to track down stories and find stories and find people and um it was it was a real big hard um lesson in reporting and what it takes to report out stories um so that was that was fun and they they um

They wanted the AP offered to for me to stay with them after the woman got back from maternity leave.

But I would have had to move.

And they said, we have an open position.

We'd like you to go to Ohio.

And I remember thinking, where is Ohio and what is it?

A southern boy from the Mississippi coast, Louisiana coast.

I did.

I literally couldn't probably could not look out Ohio on a map.

So I did not want to go Ohio, especially when I realized that it was going to be cold.

I definitely didn't want to go to Ohio.

So I stuck around there.

And actually, something that's not on my resume, I don't think.

I work at the Clarion Ledger.

I then got a job at the Clarion Ledger in newspaper design.

And for two months, basically, I was a newspaper designer, basically.
