Um, but I think when Ovechkin is in the lineup, he's getting deployed on the first power play and he is not playing

anything near the five on five minutes that he's played in his career up to this point.

And so who do those minutes go to?

I think it's reasonable to assume that an Ilya Protoss will get those minutes because he can replicate a lot of what Ovechkin does uh kind of at the uh you know with with younger legs and with better conditioning than Ovechkin has.

So if you're looking at Ovechkin getting deployed on the first power play with let's just say Dylan Strom, Tom Wilson, one of Tucker

Kairu and one of Chikrin or Hudson.

This would leave both Protuses on the second power play with the other of Tuck and Kairu, Leonard, and the other defender.

Um I could also see them taking it easy on the younger Protoss and having him actually have to beat someone out for a job on that power play, or when the power play goes cold, maybe he'll get a shot.

Um but I think until until Ovechkin is gone, gone.

Uh I think that's kind of what we can expect for Ilya Protoss.

Once he is gone, the lineup makes a lot more sense, I think.

Um and I think

The other thing is you look at this roster, it's an aging roster with the likes of Ovechkin, with the likes of Wilson, with the likes of, you know, Kairu, not super old yet, but he's getting up there.

Tuck, I could see him missing time to injury, and Boone Jenner as well.

Uh and if any of those players go um on on the injured reserve, you've got a built-in replacement in Ilya Protoss.

Like I could see him.

jumping into Jenner's role very easily and almost perhaps doing it better.

We'll we'll just have to see with Protoss.
