I still love a lot of the people that work there.
Worked in corporate America for 12 years.
But that first job,
as a new business rep was calling prospective customers.
These are people who are using our competitor or one of our competitors and doing my best to, to try to convince them eventually to switch to us.
Um, and some days you would go, Oh, for 60.
Um, I wouldn't even have a chance to get past like the initial part of the phone call, let alone get to a demo or anything like that, that, that gives me a shot to even propose something.

And so I think when you just face a lot of rejection, you're forced to get creative, you're forced to be resilient, at least if you want to continue to work in that job, you're forced to push past a ton of rejection and people who don't necessarily want to talk to you.
And so I think learning the skills of selling is very, very important, regardless of what you're going to do in your life, because we are all in sales
every day.

And to sell is human.
It's so true.
And so I'm super lucky that that was my first job because now, whether it's trying to get guests for a podcast or marketing my business or looking for clients or anything that we do, there's an element of selling involved.
And so I've got
a decade plus worth of reps of getting rejected and having to bounce back and to keep going and keep going and keep going.
And I think those reps have really helped me and set me up for things to go well in my own business now longer term.
Well, I mean, you forget.
