But I was like, you know what?

I'll give it a go.

I have an open mind.

And he seems to have done it.

He's done it for 15 years now and loves it.

So I chose the word connection.

And one of the ways I wanted to make that true was I need to intentionally connect with the important people in my life.

And so January 1st, that year of my year of connection, we were in Park City, Utah with my family skiing.

A few weeks after that, I rented an Airbnb.

This is the meeting you're referencing today.

in Scottsdale, Arizona.

I got 12 guys.

I wanted to have kind of like a guy's retreat.

All people who were doing really, really well in all different

industries, different leaders, different types of businesses, but people who are in leadership roles throughout America came together and we hiked and we got a chef and we had a pool.

It was a lot of fun.

The purpose was, one, to live up to this word of the year, which is connection.

But what I found is there's just so much power in getting together in person with

with people who are doing big things in the world and making it really a safe space to talk about all things when it comes to being good husbands, being good dads, how we're then also being great as leaders in our jobs.

And I don't know if there's enough of that, especially now.
