At the end of the day, putting money behind things that you have zero control over is
is always just a little bit boring, it's much more fun to feel like you're actually in control of your own destiny.
I understand diversification as a means of protecting your downside, and I would certainly take a little bit of money and make sure I was set from a downside perspective, but there is nothing better than feeling like you're in control of your own ship.
O' I agree.
I want to positively impact a billion lives.
It's a big goal.
It's a big goal, and it's much more of a direction goal than an endpoint goal.
The number itself, it's like, what does it matter what it actually looks like?
But the pursuit of achieving something that big means that I show up with energy every day to try to create an impact on one person.
O' Yeah.
You said this earlier, time wealth is where everything ultimately starts.
Once you create time wealth, then you can invest that time into any of the other areas of your life, of wealth.
for someone who is wired to want to do more and more and more and more and take on more and more and more and say yes yes yes it is very hard to change that wiring to start saying no to things that would pay you like i mean i come from a very scarcity mindset orientation when it comes to money like you know my dad's a a tenured professor like the safest track that you can possibly have the idea of leaving a safe stable job to go write things on the internet
was like complete insanity.
What are you doing to go and do that?
It makes no sense.
And so, that rewiring has taken me a long time to do.
Because truthfully, you do not unlock time wealth until you get comfortable saying no to things that are going to pay you money.
I think that your considerations just change.
You, in your 20s and 30s, generally speaking, are going to be at the point in your life when you have the least number of responsibilities.
