I want to take everything to the 100% level, which means getting it to a 90% level, you might be able to do in a couple of hours a day.
But if you're wanting to take things to that final 100%, you know that that is what takes the vast majority of the time for whatever reason.
And so, it's figuring out how to channel and harness that wiring in the context of the life you actually want to create, the balance that you want to create with your family, with the people that you love.
That is where the real secret sauce exists for anyone in their life.
I'm 35 now, but I look younger now than I did before I made these changes, for sure.
I mean, my entire life,
view now is that the wealthiest I feel is when I'm able to take my son in the pool at 1pm on a Tuesday.
It's kind of a silly thing to say, but it really does capture my entire definition of what it means to be wealthy.
It means, look, I have enough money to have a house with a pool, so there's a level of financial success associated with it.
But it also means that I have, most importantly, the freedom to decide that at 1 p.m.
on a Tuesday, I'm going to walk outside and go in the pool.
I don't have someone telling me that I need to be in something, that I can't do that.
It means I have a relationship with my family that he wants me to be out there with him.
And it means that I'm healthy enough to do that, that I'm fit enough that I can throw him around in the pool for four hours without getting tired, which again, is a form of wealth.
And so, I think it captures really that shift in my own mind from being so focused on the one thing at the expense of everything else, to now viewing it as, it's this big picture pie of the life that I'm actually trying to build.
Look, I think the idea that money doesn't buy happiness is a lie.
It's a lie.
I'm not here to tell people that money doesn't matter.
Hey, go live up in the mountains, drink warm broth, and live as an ascetic.
Definitely don't do that.
