having a relationship as well I think it was yeah the fact that she was so open and then what happened because I stayed in Ukraine for Christmas and actually on Christmas Eve I ended up in this platform of Kiev train station what they call the love train comes in at about 9 30 p.m or at that time it did and it comes from eastern Ukraine where people are you know where the front lines are

And it tends to be people reunite on the platform, basically, who have either the men have been given leave or maybe sometimes it's somebody that's traveled out to see somebody and is coming back.

And it turned out that they were on that platform at the exact same time being reunited, like very last minute.

And so I ended up then spending Stephen's day with them as well.

And I got to interview him.

Yeah, so that's Zainabou Hema Iyadji, who I met in Groza in 2017 in northern Nigeria.

And actually where I met her was this very kind of, I ended up getting a helicopter there with UNICEF.

It was like a very isolated area.

So if people don't know, Boko Haram has been waging an insurgency there.

since around 2009, and millions were displaced, and tens of thousands, I think, have been kidnapped.

Like, the full figures are not even... It's been so lawless that we don't even have accurate figures on any of this, but the situation has been absolutely horrific.

I'm sure people know a bit about it from the kidnapping of the Chibok girls, which made global headlines, but so many more were kidnapped.

And Zainabou was somebody who I met, and she...

had been in this town called Madagali when Boko Haram advanced.

And what she said was that she had her children there, her husband got killed, and her children, she wanted to protect them.
