BWD has been an absolute powerhouse here in Australia. matched

A lot of that has come down to very good marketing, getting into the market before others. matched

Ultimately, I think there's in many segments of the market, better vehicles currently available, though BWD's Chinese product is phenomenal and it's class leading in many aspects. matched

but we don't have that Chinese product in Australia yet. matched

None of those newer models are on sale here, even though some of them are on sale already in other right-hand drive car markets, which I find a bit strange. matched

Anyhow, on essentially the same day that BYD said it would overtake Toyota worldwide by 2030 without ever selling a car in the United States... matched

over 1,200 Australian buyers who ordered and paid for brand new 2026 built vehicles were given the keys to cars that rolled off the production line in 2025. matched

And BOD is saying this is an administrative error. matched

According to their PR boss, Paul Ellis, they accidentally recorded the date the vehicles left the factory grounds in China rather than the actual date they were built. matched
