He just had, like a lot of people that have spent a surprising amount of their times imbibing various things, he remembered things with complete clarity.
They sort of coagulated into the most brilliant stories about people he knew.
It was such fun.

And then he went on to tell the whole of the stories to her, which certainly seemed to confirm that opinion.
No, I never imagined that I would be an actor because I grew up in New Zealand and there was hardly any acting to be done.
And when I got to a sort of viable age when I'd left university and I thought, I'd really like to do that.
I was doing some acting in university, of course.
Then when I left, the only work there was really was in radio drama and the odd play.
