But what does this show us?
This shows us that we don't need to have it all figured out.
But if we have something that we're moving towards, that then we have something that we can be directionally correct with.
Now, unfortunately, we have to get into some boring stuff like taxes.
So whether you like it or not, you are going to have to pay tax.
I had a message yesterday, which is perfect timing, from a younger lad, and he was now in the workforce, and he was doing overtime and extra hours and working really hard, and a third of his pay packet was straight to tax.
So he gets to keep two thirds, and then a third goes to tax.
And he was saying,
well, what's going on here?
What can I do about this?
And the tricky thing is there is not really too much you can do about it.
Taxes are inevitable, and they are something that we have to pay.
There are ways to minimize those, but that's more something for another day.
So from an early age, if you start to be careful of what you're doing with your money,
you're going to be in a better position because you will start to learn the value of saving some, investing some, putting some aside for emergencies.
And these are habits that people often learn too late in life.
And people at the moment will get to around 50 and then they'll start thinking about their retirement, for instance.
Now, the sooner you start to learn some of these things and take them seriously, you will have more time on your side for things to compound.
And
more time to get them right before you get later in life and go, wow, now I have less of my working career to think about this.
