I will also say that I like the other style of Oregon Pinot Gris better, which is a bit higher alcohol, more texture.

Maybe people are putting skin contact on it.

Maybe there's more neutral oak or even a tiny bit of new oak, mostly neutral.

And they're not...

That wouldn't be considered to be as classic.

But Ridgecrest was making old vine Pinot Gris.

It was so good.

It was like 14% alcohol, but just so textured and rich and flavorful.

And the length on that was beautiful.

They made their last vintage in 2024.

So if you want that, you should get it now.

They're now selling that fruit.

The Irie has made Pinot Gris for ages.

That was one of the first grape varieties they planted.

And that is still one of those textured, kind of more golden in color, lazier, richer expressions.

And then there's another producer I love.

named Antequum Farm.

And their farming is crazy.

But the way that they make their Pinot Gris is also with quite a bit of skin contact.
